At Texas First Rentals, great leadership starts with great people—and Chelby Thomas is one of those leaders who inspires everyone around him. As an Operations Manager, Chelby brings passion to every store she supports, helping teams reach their full potential while staying grounded in the core values that drive our success.
Chelby's journey with Texas First began in Waco, and to this day, she holds that team close to his heart. "That team is like family", she says. And now, as, she's grown in her career within TFR so has her sense of family across every store she serves—mentoring, guiding, and helping others grow.
When she’s not streamlining operations or teaching best practices, you’ll likely find Chelby enjoying the outdoors. Whether it’s hunting, fishing, or relaxing with close friends, Chelby loves the peace and connection that comes with nature. She’s also the proud parent of two chocolate labs, Trigger and Rip, who are never far from her side.
Chelby is a powerful example of our Values Based Leadership. “I use all of our values daily,” she shares. “I’m always working to be ethical in my guidance, helping set goals that lead to success, and building consistent excellence across every location I work with. Being dynamic means creating custom strategies that fit each store’s unique layout while always working toward the shared goals of Texas First.”

And the best part of her role? It’s all about empowerment. “I love that I’ve reached a position where I can teach others to reach their maximum potential and help build the best Cat Rental Store in the world. Getting to work with like-minded people who’ve become mentors and friends—that’s something really special.”
